Woodstock Police are investigating a hit-and-run that killed a female pedestrian on Georgia Highway 92 Monday morning.

According to spokeswoman Brittany Page:

At approximately 6:50 a.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to a call of a person struck by vehicle on Highway 92 at Sharon Way. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Investigators are currently searching for an older model white Jeep Wrangler with Georgia tag PXD4638. 

Police closed one lane of the highway, which was reopened by 10 a.m., according to the department's social media posts.
