Police practiced responding to an active shooter in a training at Creekview High School Wednesday. This week, members of law enforcement from across Cherokee County are participating in trainings that put officers in a scenario responding to a school shooting. Students and educators volunteered for the training. Officers train in small groups from various agencies, to simulate a real response. Cherokee County School Police hosts the event every year with Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, Cherokee County Marshal's Office, Canton Police Department, Holly Springs Police Department and Woodstock Police Department.
