The Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency is currently looking to fill part-time positions to help work camps and special events throughout the year.

CRPA official Lauren Voss said there are currently 10 positions the agency is looking to fill for these “break camps” that occur during breaks in the school calendar, and other events. The break camps will be held from Sept. 23-27, Feb. 17-21 and April 6-10, while community events have been scheduled throughout the fall and holiday season.

The biggest requirement for these positions, according to Voss, is that the agency prefers candidates to be at least 16 years of age. As the break camp counselor positions will be working with children from ages 5 to 12, Voss added that an outgoing personality is also beneficial.

For more information on the positions, Voss can be reached at 770-924-7768 or at latvoss@cherokeega.com. Applications can be submitted at www.crpa.net/employment under Adventures Express Camp Counselor, with the application process being open until all positions have been filled.
