The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help investigating a shooting in which a 14-year-old died and a 19-year-old was injured.

The teens were shot Oct. 17 at a house party on Victoria Road near Woodstock where “multiple shots” were fired, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities estimate about 100 people were at the party.

The 14-year-old was Landon Andrews of Marietta, the sheriff’s office reported.

Andrews was found in the back of an SUV with a gunshot wound in his torso. He was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he later died.

Authorities said the 14-year-old was shot in or outside the home and later moved to the vehicle.

The 19-year-old, Jaden Simmons of Mabelton, was shot in the hand and elbow. He was treated at Northside Hospital Cherokee and released.

As of Saturday, no suspects had been identified in the shooting.

Crime Stoppers Atlanta is offering $2,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the suspect(s). Anyone with any information can contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.

Anyone who has information related to the shooting is asked to call either the Crime Stoppers number or 678-493-4080 to speak with an investigator.

Investigators believe a fight in Kennesaw from earlier that night is related to the shooting. The sheriff’s office released a video and posted it on its Facebook page of the fight at at West 22 Apartments, 3615 Cherokee St. NW in Kennesaw, which they say shows people who ended up at the party in Cherokee County.
