Nearly 500 people turned out to the Run, Walk or Roll 5K Saturday in support of Next Step Ministries at First Baptist Church of Woodstock.

The event, which saw 492 participants, raised over $30,000, said Matt McCoy, marketing coordinator for Next Step Ministries.

Next Step Ministries helps families and individuals with disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, severe developmental disabilities and brain trauma. The nonprofit’s therapeutic day programs cater to those who have aged out of high school and seeking specialized care.
