Families in Cherokee County looking for a pumpkin patch to visit this fall will have plenty to choose from.

Cagle’s Farm

Cagle’s Farm in Holly Springs is offering a variety of Halloween and fall activities for the family in the coming weeks. From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., every Friday and Saturday this month, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Sunday this month, the farm will host its fall festival, which includes a hay ride, pumpkin patch, corn maze, mini-maze, animal barn, octagon swings, bonfires, pig races, and yard games, according to the farm’s website.

Other activities at Cagle’s Farm include a Harvest Moon Weekend event from Oct. 22 to 24, where families can explore the corn maze after dark, then enjoy wagon rides, bonfires, hotdogs, and s’mores; costumes and trick-or-treating at the farm Oct. 29 to 31; and a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration Oct. 29 to 31. These events will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, according the farm’s website.

The price of admission to the activities at the farm is $10 for the Farm Pass for all activities, ages 3 and up, or $15 for the Farm Plus package, which includes a wagon ride to Cagle’s Lake, marshmallows and a bonfire. Big Springs Farm

Big Springs Farm is offering hayrides for $4, and entrance into the corn maze is also $4. Price for pumpkins may vary. The farm is also offering a snack shack, and families can visit farm animals.

Big Springs Farm is open from noon to 6 p.m. every Friday in October, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday in October. Big Springs Farm is located at 2100 Sugar Pike Road in Woodstock. For more information, visit www.bigspringsfarms.net.

Berry Patch Farms

Another farm in Cherokee County offering Halloween and fall fun is Berry Patch Farms in Woodstock.

The farm is open weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Oct. 24, and will open 3:30 to 7 p.m. weekdays from Oct. 18 to 29. Groups with reservations can visit the farm weekday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to noon through Oct. 29. Admission on weekends is $5.00 per car cash.

Families visiting the farm can enjoy the pumpkin patch, playground, baby farm animals, pies and jams, free hayrides, and more.
