Popular southern chain restaurant Eggs Up Grill will be opening a new location in Canton on Monday, bringing its large breakfast-themed menu to town.

Eggs Up Grill serves breakfast and lunch options including breakfast sandwiches, benedicts, omelets, pancakes, waffles, French toast, as well as classic breakfast entrees, home-fry bowls and different types of muffins, among other items. Officials said the full menu is available open to close, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., with lunch choices including burgers, sandwiches, wraps and salads. The menu also offers heart-healthy and gluten-friendly options and a kids’ menu. Family Bundle meals are offered for takeout and delivery starting at $25. Eggs Up Grill is located at 104 Prominence Point Parkway. Hours of operation will be seven days a week, with dine-in, online ordering, takeout and delivery options available.

Officials said the Canton restaurant will employ 25 staff members, all of which are currently filled, and will also have seating for 133 customers. The layout is designed to make guests feel at home, with an emphasis on serving families and the community, company officials said.

“I’ve worked as a firefighter and paramedic, in ministry, and most recently, as a community involvement manager for a non-profit,” co-owner Penny Wright of Eggs Up Grill Canton said. “The common thread in my previous jobs, and really throughout my life, has been connecting and serving people. We are really committed to building relationships with residents and local organizations and look forward to finding ways to use Eggs Up Grill to support community efforts.”

Penny Wright’s husband and franchisee, Andy Wright, grew up in Gainesville and chose Canton because of family ties to the community. Andy Wright left his job as chief financial officer of Eggs Up Grill in April to focus on developing his restaurants.

“The first time we walked into an Eggs Up Grill on our anniversary weekend in Greenville, the seed was planted for opening our own,” co-owner Andy Wright of the Canton location said. “As I learned more about Eggs Up Grill and gained first-hand experience, the feeling that this was the right fit as a long-term opportunity grew. The excitement found in a thriving brand, the community focus, the quality of the food, the opportunity for growth – those are just a few of the reasons my wife and I are continuing our journey with Eggs Up Grill in this new role as franchisees.”

Officials said the restaurant will meet and exceed local, state, federal and brand guidelines regarding COVID-19 to protect guests and team members.

The Canton location is a part of the brand’s expansion into Georgia. There are currently 44 locations in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Officials said construction has begun on a location in Rome.
