Two Maids & A Mop, a new branch of the residential and commercial cleaning services franchise, is partnering with Cleaning for a Reason to provide free services to local cancer patients.

Family was at the forefront of Beth and Tucker Moon’s minds as they opened the Cherokee County branch of Two Maids & A Mop. Knowing the stress of having a lengthy stay at the hospital, the Moons felt it important to reach out to families going through the same thing.

“Our 3-year-old son was born with five different birth defects,” Beth said. “We have spent a lot of time in and out of hospitals and we know the day-to-day activities of life can be challenging during that time.”

Beth and her husband, Tucker, opened the Cherokee County branch of Two Maids & A Mop in February and knew immediately that they wanted to use their brand for good.

“We wanted to give back to the community any way we could. Cleaning for a Reason was just a natural fit,” Beth said.

This partnership began in May, and Beth is hoping to reach people all over Cherokee County. When the recipient is matched with Two Maids through Cleaning for a Reason, Beth takes the time to get to know the patient and their family before jumping into the process.

“It’s such an intimate thing, having someone in your home, especially when you are going through treatment,” Beth said. “I like to get to know the family first and really understand their priorities.”

The service for patients paired with Two Maids includes a two-hour cleaning service tailored to their needs. Beth said that she hopes that this can be one less thing for them to worry about while in the hospital or recovering.

“Everyone has been impacted by cancer in some way. Until there’s a cure, there will always be a need to help,” Beth said. “We are really excited to get going serving these families in Cherokee County.”
