Two Cherokee County girls have been selected as a Georgia representative at Miss Amazing, a national summit for girls and women with disabilities.

Lily Howard, 15, from Hickory Flat is the junior teen queen for Georgia, one of nine 2020 and 2021 Georgia representatives for the pageant-style summit starting July 29 in Nashville.

Howard is an artist who loves to sing, dance and draw, according to her sponsorship page.

"My goal by participating in Miss Amazing is to educate people on how kids and adults like me with ADHD, OCD, sensory disorder and some other disabilities are just like anyone else. We just do things in a different way. A unique way," she wrote on her page. "I want everyone to be treated fairly,  with love and respect."

Her sister, Keira Howard, 9, was selected to represent the state in the pageant as a preteen queen. As of Wednesday, a page was not set up yet for her on the sponsorship website.
