Canton’s Victoria Hill, who was Miss Georgia in 2019 and first runner up for Miss America, is again wearing a crown.
Hill, an opera singer, was crowned the 2023 Miss Georgia Volunteer on Saturday, July 23 in Atlanta.
Hill is a rising senior at The Eastman School of Music where she is majoring in vocal performance.
As Miss Georgia Volunteer, Hill was awarded over $10,000 in scholarships and will go on to compete for the national Miss Volunteer America title in June 2023 in Jackson, Tennessee.
Miss Volunteer America is a national, service oriented scholarship program founded by Allison DeMarcus, wife of Jay DeMarcus from Rascal Flatts.
“We are thrilled to have Victoria Hill as our new Miss Georgia Volunteer,” Russell Kirby, state director of the Miss Georgia Volunteer Organization, said in a statement. “She has an extremely important role as an ambassador of the program, and she has already hit the ground running. Victoria’s commitment to spreading awareness about Foster Care as well as her heartwarming personality make her the perfect representative for the state of Georgia. We look forward to watching and supporting her during this year of opportunity.”
Miss Georgia Volunteer is open to young women between the ages of 13 and 26.
