The popular Little River Band will welcome Farewell Angelina as a special guest at the Aug. 10 installation of the 22nd Annual Woodstock Summer Concert Series at Northside Hospital Cherokee Amphitheater.

Named after the Bob Dylan song, Farewell Angelina is an all-female country group with four vocalists, songwriters and accomplished multi-instrumentalists. They are known for their dynamic harmonies and impressive violin sound. Rolling Stone said, “Wickedly smart songwriting delivered with a healthy dash of sass ... deft playing ... into one sonic knockout punch” and were named among their “New Artists You Need to Know.”

Longtime friends Nicole Witt, Andrea Young, Lisa Torres and Ashley Gearing all met pursuing their dreams in Nashville and when they heard the undeniable harmony of their voices together, they couldn’t wait to take their show on the road. Opportunities such as singing the National Anthem for Thursday Night Football, the Unbridled Eve Gala for the Kentucky Derby, the ACM All-Star Jam and the Albisguetli Schutzenhaus Festival in Switzerland propelled their success and introduced their sound to the world.

To name a few, Farewell Angelina has opened for Maroon 5, Trace Adkins and Kenny Chesney along with an extensive list of others. The group closed out 2018 after playing 75 shows across the U.S. on their “Women & Wine Tour”.

On Saturday, Aug. 10, Farewell Angelina will be at the Northside Hospital Cherokee Amphitheater in Woodstock with Little River Band for the fourth installment of this year’s event that continues to bring crowds of eager music enthusiasts.

The concert is free so be sure to set up your chairs early (allowed starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday) and review the rules before attending. For more information, visit woodstockconcertseries.com.
