Woodstock Arts’ last Lantern Series concert of the year is Mountain Heart, performing Oct. 29.
Mountain Heart, or its members, have won or been nominated for multiple Grammys, ACM, CMA, and IBMA Awards. They have appeared on the revered stage of the Grand Ole Opry over 130 times and have shared the stage with acts ranging from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Levon Helm, Punch Brothers, George Jones, Merle Haggard, and Brad Paisley, to Alison Krauss, Tony Rice, Travis Tritt, Yonder Mountain Stringband, Leann Rimes and Patty Loveless.
“The Lantern Series is about bringing people together and discovering different genres of music. One of the best ways we can do this is to look at folk music. Folk music by definition is the music of the people, and bluegrass really embodies the people of the Appalachian region,” said Woodstock Arts Managing Director Brian Gamel. “Mountain Heart is such a fun group that lives in bluegrass and folk, but has a lot of unexpected energy that Woodstock will absolutely love.”
The Mountain Heart concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Woodstock Arts’ Event Green, 111 Elm St. in Woodstock.
There are three different seating options for purchase: table seating, reserved gold and general admission. Tickets start at $17 for lawn general admission and can be purchased online or the day of at the Event Green.
