WDSTKtoberfest, Visit Woodstock’s take on Oktoberfest, is coming to downtown Woodstock starting Saturday and runs through Oct. 3.
Participating restaurants will offer Bavarian food and beverage specials during the event. Some restaurants will offer specials during the week and on the weekends, and others will offer specials only on the weekends.
The festival kicks off 11 a.m. Saturday with a keg tapping tour featuring Woodstock Mayor Donnie Henriques, a release from the city said. At 11 a.m., Henriques will tap a keg at Reformation Brewery, followed by a keg tapping upstairs at The Daily Draft at 11:30 a.m. At noon, the mayor will tap the keg at Copper Coin Coffee and he will be at Prime 120 to tap their keg at 12:30 p.m.
A pub crawl is set from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 2. On pub crawl day, when participants arrive at their first restaurant, they will be given an entry form. For each restaurant visited, they will receive a stamp on their form. Once they have received five stamps, they may redeem their form at the Visit Woodstock GA tent for a boot glass with the event logo. The tent will close at 7 p.m.
“We’ve got a great variety of quality restaurants in our city,” Economic Development Director Brian Stockton said. “Locals and visitors won’t want to miss the fantastic food and beverage specials they’ve created for this event.”
Participating businesses include: The Blue Ghost Arcade, Copper Coin, The Daily Draft, Freight Kitchen & Tap, MadLife Stage & Studios, Prime 120, Pure Taqueria, Reel Seafood, The Reeves House, Reformation Brewery, Queenie’s BBQ, Truck & Tap, and Woodstock Beer Market.
