WOODSTOCK — Children played with bubbles, tossed balloons and blew party horns Friday at the Rose Creek Public Library to ring in 2022.

The "Noon Year's Eve" celebration, and a similar party at the Hickory Flat Public Library, was a little early: instead of midnight, the countdown was until noon, followed by cheers and more air horns. Children also created party hats and colored in a New Year's-themed page.
