Live music, children’s activities and more will be at the BBQ, Brews and Boos festival this Saturday. The event also offers Halloween festivities, including costumes and trick-or-treating in the heart of downtown Canton.

CANTON – BBQ, Brews and Boos, hosted by Revival South, returns to downtown Canton on Saturday, offering family fun from noon to 8 p.m.

The event is free to the public and will include entertainment, food, drinks, live music and local festivities relating to the Halloween season. It will take place along the entire length of Main Street, which will be closed for the festival.

The barbecue will be provided by several vendors throughout the day.

“Right now we have around eight barbecue vendors,” organizer Gary Lamb said. “Some of the notable vendors are Angelfire7 BBQ, Choate BBQ and Smokin’ Tony’s BBQ. The beer will be provided by the Reformation brewery.”

There will also be retail vendors in attendance offering items ranging from clothing, to arts, to barbecue sauces.

The live music at the event will consist of bands including: Too Many Peachtree Streets, Slickfoot, Left on Main and Beyond the Yellow Brick Road: Atlanta’s Tribute to Elton John.

“Beyond the Yellow Brick Road: Atlanta’s tribute to Elton John, is probably the biggest band that we have ever had,” Lamb said. “Full production, lights, everything about the band is fantastic and they will perform from 6 to 8 p.m.”

There will be a kid’s area that will have many activities including: face painting, costume contests, rides, inflatables and trick or treating from 1-2:30 p.m. The vendors in attendance will hand out candy to the trick or treaters.

To add to the Halloween festivities, Canton Historic Haunts will offer ghost tours starting at 6 p.m. tickets can be reserved at www.cantonhaunts.com.

There will also be an antique motorcycle show put on by Speed Standard. The largest collection of vintage bikes from all over the state will be present.

“To be able to come with friends and family to listen to great music, eat some barbecue, drink some beer, let the kids have some fun and spend some time with the community, what else could you ask for,” Lamb said. “After all, there’s nothing more American than barbecue and beer.”
