The Reserve at Towne Lake, a memory care community, is hosting a gingerbread house judging competition from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to benefit the families of two fallen public safety officers.

The Reserve community delivered gingerbread kits Nov. 9 to the following participants: Woodstock Police Department; Cherokee Marshall’s Office; 911 operators; Cherokee Sheriff’s Office; and 10 Cherokee fire stations. Four gingerbread houses were completed and delivered back to The Reserve Tuesday. Eight to 10 more houses are expected to be delivered to the facility before the competition.

The judging will be a drive by event, and donations can be made during the event to the families of fallen deputy sheriff Zachary Barksdale and Cherokee firefighter Justin Hicks. Prizes will be given for the top three gingerbread houses. Voting will be completed at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Reserve at Town Lake is located at 1962 Eagle Drive in Woodstock.
