Canton police last week arrested six people — including two juveniles — suspected of stealing items from unlocked cars.
According to a news release from the Canton Police Department:
Officers were dispatched at 3:43 a.m. last Monday to the Great Sky subdivision to check on reports of people entering vehicles in the neighborhood.
“Upon arriving in the area, an officer located a dark-colored passenger car with two suspects running toward it. The suspects appeared to have been exiting a victim’s truck and were attempting to leave the area,” police department spokesman Pacer Cordry wrote. “Upon investigation, six suspects were detained and stolen items were recovered from the neighborhood and other communities.”
The suspects had four handguns, ammunition, a laptop computer, clothing, a camera, and other items that are believed to have been stolen.
Some of the items recovered appear to be among those taken from vehicles in the River Green subdivision on Friday.
The adults charged in the arrests on Monday included:
♦ Quinn Chajuan Dawson, 19, of Atlanta;
♦ Jacquez Daquan Ivey, 19, of Warm Springs;
♦ Darell Marrion, 17, of College Park; and
♦ Tyjuan Shecorn Burch, 18, of Atlanta.
