Six students from the Classical Conversations of Acworth homeschool community capped months of study by correctly reciting more than 400 facts from multiple subjects as part of the national Classical Conversations Memory Master program. Students ranging in age from 7-12 years old earned the Memory Master award.
Memory Master is a program available to all Classical Conversations participants nationwide once a year. Students memorize a chronological timeline of 161 events and people, as well as history, geography, 24 science facts, Latin noun endings and their singular and plural cases, 53 prepositions along with grammar facts, including 23 helping verbs and 12 linking verbs, multiplication tables through the 15s, common squares and cubes, basic geometry formulas and unit conversions and all 45 U.S. presidents.
The Classical Conversations Homeschool Community of Acworth had its first student to complete the Memory Master process for all three years of material in one sitting, often referred to as the “Triple Crown.” Ezekiel Harper, son of Lee and Korrie Harper of Woodstock, successfully recalled more than 1,400 pieces of information covering three consecutive cycles.
The other Memory Masters are Selah Beck, Clara Rae Cassa, Kyrie Erickson, Jessica Landrum and Paul Zeitner.
